Weather in Egypt
Egypt is located in the north of Africa, mostly in a dry desert climate. In the north along the Mediterranean coast and in the Nile Delta, however, Mediterranean conditions prevail and in the high elevations of the Sinai Mountains, the temperature in winter drops well below the country's average.
Beginning of the year.
January: is the coldest month. In Hurghada you will find 20 to 23 degrees during the day. The warm sun on the beach or in the hotel garden lasts at noon and early in the afternoon, mornings and evenings are fresh and cooler, you have to expect wearing a sweater or jacket. Nights are windy too. The heat-sensitive will not go into the sea without neoprene.
February to April: is much better, with temperatures 23-28 degrees. But the wind can surprise you here too, especially in March and April. The Egyptians also expect the “Khamsin” - from the Arabic “fifty” - the wind that can appear in these 50 days. Here you have the greatest opportunity to experience the sandstorm.
May: is the best chance to get the best weather of the year. Daily temperatures are pleasant - 30 - 35 - not so hot for children or the elderly who may not be able to take more. The time is very nice for the sights but also for the sea, the water is lovely and warm.
June: to September - of course the months for "all inclusive warmth". 35 - 40 degrees average (in the south about 45). Don't forget to protect yourself from the sun, drink enough water and spend plenty of time in the shade.
October: is very popular, the sun still makes the body happy, the water in the sea is friendly for the whole family. Don't miss a trip, now is the best for city visits Cairo, Luxor, Nile cruises, desert trips or snorkeling!
